last night, inspired by this, i reread some of my late grandfather’s journal

tonight, the boys and i pulled over to see this

nice one. Charles Simic’s notebooks were just published by Ausable Press…I think they are verbatim copies of the text in his notebooks which he said, rarely turns into the poems he writes.
There is something particularly moving about a really poetic observation when found in the journal of a family member. It’s a moment of recognition where you want to stand up and shout: ‘They see it too.’ It’s a shared perception that brings you closer. I was touched by this.
